Beached Sailboat Captures Honorable Mention at 2011 Lincoln County Arts Show

"DESTINation Reached" was the name of the print submitted to be part of a display at the 2011 Lincoln County Arts Show at the Lincoln-Lawrence-Franklin Public Library in Brookhaven, Mississippi. The print features a Morgan Out Island 41 sailboat that was beached in Destin, Florida. The photo was captured in March of 2010 and has since become one of the most popular of its kind.

The photo print was encapsulated in a white frame which allowed the entire 16x20 print to stand out with the variations of realistic beach colors. "DESTINation Reached" --- The word Destin was capitalized to emphasize the location of the shot.

The Lincoln County Arts Show registration was held Saturday, October 1st, 2011 and a reception was held on Oct 13th for the artists. Bob Pennebaker, chairman of the Visual Arts Department at Belhaven University,  judged the entries in the show. The entries of all artist categories will remain on display at the library until October 29th, 2011.
