Natchez-Vidalia Bridge And Riverfront Lights At Night

Connecting Natchez, Mississippi with Vidalia, Louisiana, the Natchez-Vidalia Bridge is a popular attraction when visiting the historic city. In June of 2010, the Natchez Convention Center held a reception for the lighting of the bridge. Local elected officials including Lieutenant Governor Phil Bryant were in attendance. Sunday night (Oct 16th, 2010), I traveled to Natchez to play around a bit with long exposure with the Canon 50D.

From Natchez, Mississippi River Bluffs

If you haven't been to Natchez to see the bridge at night, then you're missing a treat. Magnificent views from the river bluffs of Natchez can be seen, but a better "close-up" point would be to travel across the bridge to Vidalia and tour the Vidalia Riverfront. With park benches and tables set up for nearly a mile stretch, it's a great place to enjoy a view of the river tugboats and the bridge.
