Returning To Sardis Lake – Summer 2011

While attending Sardis Lake Christian Camp during July 2011, I went to the lake at sunset to capture some of nature's majestic shots. Sunset is certainly the best time to shoot, since the sun sets quite nicely over the large lake in North Mississippi.

While at the late, some water skiiers performed for the camera. Eddie Cagle (photographer) gives a thumb up to them for the show.

A low exposure shot of Sardis Lake reveals colorful skies and a light chop over water.

The shoreline of John Kyle State Park also includes some great scenery. This shot was taken behind cabin 2 in the state park.

For most of the time, the temperature at the lake was over a 100 degree heat index and quite miserable, but I managed to capture the shots anyway. I didn't take as many photos as I wanted, but enjoyed the trip to Sardis Lake. The Christian Camp was the priority, though, since I spent most of my time there. I hope that you enjoy the photos.
